Co-Founding of RiverLov

Marijana Lemm

Marijana is the founder of riverlov, her passions ranging from community building, regenerative agriculture,  environmental & social activism. Her work focuses on collaborating with local and Indigenous groups to restore land and rivers. Moving back to her roots in Montenegro, she connected deeply with the wild rivers, sparking a passion for rivers that inspired the creation of RiverLov. The organization aims to inspire others to appreciate and protect these vital waterway.

Media & fILM

Lily Bognuda

Lily is our Media creator, a filmmaker, and photographer who has spent the last five years sharing stories of the wilderness, collaborating with diverse change-makers and creatives to amplify their voices and reach broader audiences. She has followed the San Bushmen tracking in the Namibian desert, told the stories of children planting native forests in the UK, and is now dedicated to telling stories of our last wild rivers in Europe in the hopes that these stories can inspire a deeper engagement with the natural world.

Iva Jericevic

Iva is our in-house graphic designer and illustrator based in Belgrade. With a background in environmental activism, she believes that art has the power to help create positive change and spread awareness for the protection of our natural spaces.

Jasmine Alakari

Jasmine is the Co-Founder of RiverLov, with ten years of international audio-visual production experience coupled with a foundation in Indigenous Peoples Rights. Her driving force is her lifelong dedication for water and how immersive art and new technologies can serve as a transformative avenue for shifting paradigms.

Environmental Lawyer

Marina Mijusković

Marina is the head of our legal team, and the first environmental lawyer in Montenegro. With a specialization in AI and Blockchain law, she firmly believes that these cutting-edge technologies can pave the way for a better future, especially when it comes to environmental protection.

Leon Lapa Pereira

Leon, our Creative Producer is a cross-disciplinary performance researcher who creates experienceable ecologies bridging humans and more-than-humans. He also co-founded WASTELAND Festival, curates the Performance Technology Lab and hosted program ‘Flipchart’ at the Instrument Inventors Initiative, initiated the interdisciplinary Resonant Bodies residency in Georgia, teaches at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague, and is the Creative Producer of the Embassy of the North Sea.

Biologist & CEO of MES

Jelena Popović

Jelena, our Biologist and CEO of MES (Montenegrin Ecology Society), immerses herself in biodiversity research and conservation efforts. You’ll often find her in the Montenegrin mountains and canyons, studying the intricate flora and habitats unique to the region. Big part of her work goes to translating the importance of nature into educational approaches and art.

Andrijana Mićanović

Andrijana, our Biologist and co-founder of MES, is a passionate field researcher dedicated to safeguarding Montenegro’s endangered biodiversity. Her focus lies in nature conservation, particularly in preserving threatened freshwater habitats such as rivers and wetlands. Through her work, Andrijana seeks to foster a deeper connection between nature and the community, translating the wonders of ecosystems into a language that resonates with every citizen.

Jacob Kukula

Jakob is our mastermind when it comes to weaving together technology with art, using river sensors that he developed to attune deeper with the waters. He is a multidisciplinary creator and founder of SpreeBerlin and Symbiotic lab, and always on a mission to explore how we interact with nature. With a playful mix of art, design, and science, Jakob’s all about reconnecting us with the planet.
